I was invited to the household of Mackie, Eugene and Hayley to document their family’s growth.  Why growth?  Mackie is expecting her second child, so naturally, a maternity photography session was also included.

With the house to ourselves, we started with some portraits of Mackie.  It was a chance for some quiet time for Mackie before Hayley came home from school.  I made sure there would be a couple of photographs where she had a chance to put her feet up.

Hayley, with Eugene in tow, arrived home wondering who her new found friends were.  After some scones (and sugar!) for afternoon tea, Hayley was recharged and ready to play for the camera.

We headed out to the park and the lakeside to enjoy the afternoon sun.  Spring in Melbourne is always dynamic – rain one moment, sunshine the next, then a chilling wind sends everything not tied down flying everywhere.  The love of a close knit family kept everything fun and easy going!  Mackie, Eugene and Hayley were thoroughly lost in the moments with each other.  This was one happy family who treasured the time with each other.  I wish them all the best with their family’s new addition and may they continue growing their love for one another.
