Love and lifestyle in Tai-O

Dried seafood stalls in Tai-O, Hong Kong

The other day, I wrote about the serenity of Tai-O in Hong Kong.

The lifestyle of the locals is very laid back and they are at ease with their environment.  It’s a complete contrast to the streets of Causeway Bay or Mongkok!  It’s little wonder that many consider it a getaway place.

The smell of freshly caught fish and other sea creatures drying in the sun permeate the laneways.  Old ladies sitting under their umbrellas, selling produce, while an old man cuts vegetables grown in his yard to sell at the market.

With a relaxed atmosphere, boat rides and plenty to explore, it’s the perfect place to go on a date.  I’ve heard from a few people I met that their own love story began in this magical location.
