One wave, one chance

Sunset at St Kilda pier, Melbourne

There’s a river in England where a single wave a day goes up the river.  The swells are up to 2m and it gives surfing enthusiasts one chance to get it right.

One wave, one chance.  Chase it, get it right and the ride goes on for as long as the wave exists. Fall over and the chance for that day is missed.

Similarly, the same applies with many of life’s moments.  An opportunity will always rise up.  All it takes is grasping the opportunity at the right time, or watching it roll away.

A relationship starts on that one person taking the chance.  Do whatever it takes to hold on and the relationship will take on a new life, a new journey.

Just like waves that come to life with the tide and rest when they arrive at the shore, relationships may be long or short.  Either way, the best ones occur when a chance is taken.  If it doesn’t catch, there’s always another waiting to be the perfect ride of a lifetime!
