Bohenia + Chris’ wedding story
Away from the big city towers of Hong Kong and nestled amongst the hills, Beas River Country Club was the perfect setting for the wedding story of Bohenia and Chris. It was a balmy day and their close family and long time friends had travelled from Europe, Australia, New Zealand and of course, Hong Kong.
It was fitting that Chris, an avid traveller from Australia, would be getting married in the Pearl of the Orient. His family and friends from Australia would also have a glimpse at the place where Bohenia and her siblings shared many fond memorable childhood moments in Beas River Country Club!
The quaint apartment was abuzz with activity as Bohenia and her sisters prepared themselves. Final rehearsals were made to remember vows in between moments of the make-up artist’s hands working busily on Bohenia.
In another room, jokes abound could be heard as Chris and the groomsmen readied themselves for the day’s celebration.
Amongst the lush green garden of Beas River Country Club, the guests stood and admired Bohenia as she walked down the aisle with her father. As the afternoon sun shone down, vows of love for eternity were exchanged in a short but sweet ceremony.
The multicultural wedding continued with the colourful lion dance commencing the reception. Each drumbeat lifted everyone’s spirits higher. Laughter could be heard all around as new bonds of friendship were made during dinner. Tears of joy were shed as speeches recalling nostalgic and carefree memories were shared.
The live band sang songs of new and old to get everyone up and dancing on the dance floor. There were plenty of moments where the wiser guests showed the younger ones a lesson or two in dancing.
A wedding is more than a gathering of family and friends. It is an opportunity to rekindle memories and it was a day where many lived those moments to its fullest!
