Organic moments are healthy

A couple dance, living in the moment

Buy organic.  Pesticide free and naturally grown.  It’s healthy for your body.  These are the words that now appear alongside the foods we buy.  Locally grown, pesticide free and organic.

In the pursuit of keeping foods fresh for as long as possible, preservatives are added into the foods we eat.  Farmers wanting to have stable crops, and a greater harvest, turn to the different chemicals and methods to achieve this.  This is what gets consumed on a daily basis.  Some would say this has given rise to the health issues we see in modern society.

Similarly, we wish to preserve a particular persona.  This is how people identify us.  Our friends, family and the people we come across every day.  We wish for others to identify us in a form which pleases us, which beautifies us.  We exhibit ourselves to others, much like a gallery curator selects the artworks for an exhibition.

There is a constant need to be positive.  Even in the midst of the biggest challenges in our lives, there is a need to stay positive and strong for the sake of others.  It is as if not to be a burden upon the people we trust.  Or perhaps, it is the fear that they are unable to help?

When your back is against the wall and all sides are closing in, a real and very raw fear arises.  This is not the moment to preserve the front, but to embrace the emotions that come.  It is far better to actively ride the moments and emotions.  Soak up the experiences and learn from it.

Go organic.  Live out each organic moment that appears in our organic bodies, which exists within this living organism that is our universe.

Move like a dancer does to each note, each beat, each crescendo of the music.  They put their entire being into the moment to create a work of art.  Create your own work of art within your own moments.

A child’s cry is a chance to make a connection.  A partner’s frustration is a chance to learn.  Chances, opportunities.  Whichever you wish to call them, will only be if an active choice is made.

Moments in our lives appear and disappear.  When they appear, there is a real choice to experience it and maybe grow from it.  When was the last time you said, “I never saw it coming but it was the best thing that’s happened to me!”
